So Busy

So working every weekend is taking alot out of me. But don't worry, the money makes it all worth it!

New Matt and Karl this week, and I'm rather proud of it. A couple of new characters. The blonde one is named Kris and the other is named Juana. Dunno if you've noticed so far, but all of the characters' names have come from the starting name options on all the pokemon games.

Speaking of Pokemon, me and my buddy Madison (co-writer of Matt and Karl) recently discovered that we both bad-mouth enemy pokemon while playing the games. Not only that, but we also make our own pokemon feel better if they ever lose or mess up. Does anybody else do this? Vote, and we'll find out just how pathetic and lonely my audience really is!

Also, this week I was going to do a new King-dumb Comic, but I realized that I have to draw my entry for round one of Lozer Zone. So expect that next week.

Well, I need sleep. I'm going to be plumbing all day tomorrow!

A WWII Week

We just finished watching Shindler's List in American History a few days ago, and I must say, it's now my #2 favorite movie. #1 being Gangs of New York.
And yesterday me and my friends discovered Nazi Zombies on Call of Duty 5, and its definitely the best zombie themed game I've ever played. That said, I suck at it. Nobody wants to be on my team. *cry*

Anyhow, here's this week's comic, and don't forget you have to CLICK TO READ THE WHOLE THING. Apparently there was some confusion last week. I'm looking at YOU, Alex.
This comic is about what happened last weekend when we tried to buy a screen protector for Madison. Its pretty accurate except we were very polite, and instead of screaming we just timidly placed it back on the shelf and left without a word.
But there was much angry muttering on the way home, let me tell you.

Lungs Full of Dust

I finally got a job. Starting yesterday, I'll be helping my uncle tear down and rebuild his master bathroom every Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 6. Needless to say this really cuts into my weekend, but I need the money. But worry not, comics will still be every Sunday.

We've spent the last couple days tearing down the walls, which involves hitting the drywall with a hammer really hard over and over until its gone. Drywall is full of chalk, and the dust fills the room in a matter of minutes, with or without the industrial wall fan. Hence the title.

New Matt and Karl this week. It may seem sort of unfinished, and thats because its only half of what the original comic was going to include. I've divided it into two separate pages. Just a heads-up, the storyline is going to pick up pretty soon. While this technically isnt a storyline-driven comic, every now and then there will be little short stories that pop up. These stories will probably pop up more and more often as the series goes on.

Also, happy St. Patrick's day! This is a rather festive comic, seeing as it takes place in Viridian City, or in other words, the Evergreen City. And before you ask, no. I had no clue this comic would line up like that.

So lately I've been playing Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, as you know. And because of this, I have been in a very Final Fantasy mood. So a few days ago I began playing plain ol' Final Fantasy VII using my friend's PS1 and a very small television. I have a PS2, but my brothers are always on it so I had to get it set up in my room. I bidded for the PC version for a couple days, but I gave up. That is a very expensive game.

Expect another addition of Other Comics next Sunday, followed by a new Matt and Karl. After that I might just make a new King-dumb Comic. Its been a long time.

An Eventful Weekend

So, for those of you who don't know, I had my wisdom teeth taken out this past friday. The top two were just pulled, but the bottom two had to be cut, resulting in lots of stitches. It wasn't too bad, but I had to miss seeing Watchmen with my friends. Hopefully I'll get to see it next weekend.

I've pretty much spent my whole weekend playing Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PSP, and I must say I'm impressed. Its very fun, the background music is awesome, and the cutscenes are incredible. Sadly, however, I'm afraid that I might almost be done, so I've been stalling.
Dont worry though, I didn't spend the ENTIRE weekend lazing about playing video games! I also spent that time MAKING video games! I've spent about 1/3 of my time this weekend working diligently to get a demo finished of my brand-new game, Ultimate Warrior. Pretty much the premise is that you could, if you really wanted to, immediately fight the final boss. You just wont beat him. So pretty much you have to explore the world, gaining experience and learning new attacks until you feel like you're ready to take him on! Hopefully I'll have a demo for you guys around April, there's still alot to do.

Knowing that I wouldn't have much time, I made a shorter comic this week. This comic is based off a real phone conversation we had in the car with my buddy Alex. The dialogue is about 80% correct, because I had to guess at what Alex was thinking. Click to read the whole thing.
This week is going to be iffy. I've got a huge paper to write for English, plus the other homework I get daily. I'm going to try for a new Matt and Karl, but don't be suprised if you get another short filler comic like this last one.
So until next week, I'm signing off!

Contest

Above is the comic for this week. The link will take you to the Deviantart image, because I havent uploaded this comic into DrunkDuck. It doesnt fit into any of my categories.
Its my audition for a contest called Lozer Zone. In this contest, I enter my original character in, and I have to draw them fighting and losing each battle. This is different, because usually you have to make your character win. The contest is being held by SelectHumor Anyways, hope you like. The colors on the last panel arent quite right, because my computer is darker.

So Friday night I watched Donny Darko with my friends, and let me tell you, it was great. That said, I'm not going to pretend like I understood it. I got a good 80%. If anyone wants to try to explain everything, go right ahead. But what was great about the movie was the fact that, even though I didn't understand it, it was still very entertaining. The complexity, even when it went over my head, made the movie a completely different experience from anything else I've ever watched. Everyone should watch it.
