Nintendo is just Milkin' the Nostalgia

Pokemon comes out sunday and I am excited. That is all.

3/4/10

Eh

Dont really have anything to say. Finished reading Oliver Twist. It was pretty much awesome. Now I am going to start reading A Time To Kill, which is a pretty intense book.

Oh No A Meteor

Today I would like to teach you all about webcomics. They are pretty much just comics posted on the internet for your cost-free enjoyment. My comic is a webcomic, no doubt. Usually webcomics try to be funny. But none of them are quite as funny as Nedroid Comics. Nedroid Comics are quite simply the funniest. The funniest and the best. Oh yes, I kid you not. Nedroid Comics make me sick with envy. Nedroid Comics only live one city away from me. If I wanted, I could go spy on Nedroid Comics. But I would never do that.

Just go read them, sheesh.

Oh yeah. Here is my unfunny and inadequate, compared to Nedroid Comics, comic. Sigh.

Fingers Crossed

Well, those kids haven't returned to school yet, so it sounds like they might have been expelled. The principal is being extremely tight-lipped about this whole incident. However, its too bad that the victim of this horrible act has decided to transfer to a different school.

In other news, I only have to draw nine more pages to finish this comic. So in other words, ten more pages for you guys to read.
Not including this one.

Sighs all around

So the five best basketball players at my school were recently charged with the sexual assault of two freshman students. This is pretty much terrible, but what makes it worse is that it sounds like the school is trying to push it under the rug. These kids are set to return to school, and to the basketball team, in a week. Worst part is, they definitely did it. Sigh.

Here is a comic. We are about.... oh lets say eight pages away from finishing this story.

Oh yes, and I also drew a fancy political cartoon for government class. And here it is.

For the Birds

So I created a Twitter last night, in order to better keep track of the comings-and-goings of all those awesome people I like to stalk or something. I fear I may quickly become obsessed. Anyhoo, you can find my twitter here.

Here is another page of that time-sponge i mean comic.

Getcha' Tickets Ready

I think I should stop a moment and tell you about Rumblo Comics. It is the comic website of KC Green, and it is a world of magic and wonder.
His comics are sometimes offensive and sometimes tasteless, but for the most part they are incredible and he is a legend to comic artists like me. What is most interesting, though, is that he is on the verge of becoming a legitimate, self-published, comic artist. So, seeing as that's my goal, I can watch him and learn from what he does.

Here is another page of Excitement Abounding. This zombie nonsense is nearly done, so get ready for some new form of nonsense.

2/11/10

Wag The Dog

I dunno if anybody remembers that movie, but its hilarious. Its got a very under-toned humor that I think is fantastic.

Here is a thoroughly offensive and ridiculous comic for you to regret reading.

2/9/10

Holy Crap a Snow Day

I awoke this morning to find that it was a snow day. I then promptly went back to sleep.

This zombie segment is beginning to come to a close, which is nice. This isnt supposed to be a zombie comic, its just supposed to be a crazy comic. This zombie segment has lasted a long time, but its not how the comic will always be. I'm excited to start on some different stories.

2/4/10

Its Hourly Comics Day, Charlie Brown

Monday was Hourly Comics day. On hourly comics day, you are supposed to draw a two panel comic about each hour of the day that you are awake. Well, i forgot. Again.
So I'm going to do it on friday! And it will probably be better for it, seeing as i do NOTHING during the school week. friday is the day i crawl out of my room and be social.
Oh, and the proof copy of the book i Illustrated came in the mail today. It looks fantastic, but they had to put a thick black border around the edges of the cover, which makes the cover look less professional. oh well. my "about the illustrator" page looks fantastic.

Here is a comic.

Man wonders but God decides,

When to kill the Prince of Tides.

I finished the book. It is now my favorite book. It was just fantastic.
Now I'm reading Inkheart, which I must say, is 100 times better than the movie already just because they arent obsessed with The Wizard of Oz, and because Aladdin or whatever isnt a character. (YET)

1/28/10

Yawn

So Apple just released their new product, essentially just a bigger itouch. i think its the biggest waste of time i've ever heard of, but thats just me.
Here is an excellent comic for you to gaze at.

1/26/10

Nothin' much to say

My fortieth page, which means this comic has been running for 20 weeks. 20 weeks is 140 days, which is almost half a year. Its hard to believe.

1/21/10

The Prince of Tides

Goodness gracious, I have never read a book like The Prince of Tides. I feel all these confused feelings and I'm all irritable all the time. Why are you doing this to me, Pat Conroy? Why is your book so goddamn awesome? Why is your book so goddamn scary?
This has been a trying week.

1/19/10

NBC, what you doin'?

So this Jay Leno/ Conan O-Brian thing is crazy and complicated. I stand by Conan, and here is why. If you could say he's being selfish, he's being selfish in his undying love and dedication to the Tonight show. The Tonight show is an institution that has been going on for decades, always on the same time-slot, and always with good ratings. Forget the fact that Conan's a funny guy, fact is that this is insulting to the whole show. That is why I am hoping that Fox picks up Conan and let him do his show. He is continuing and defending a grand legacy of respectable, entertaining news television, and for that reason I salute him.

Oh yeah, and I have a comic.

1/14/10

So I usually try to keep myself a week ahead with comics. Thusly, every day I am actually working on a comic that will be posted the following week.
Well, right now I'm way behind.
I literally havent finished a SINGLE PAGE of next weeks updates.
Thankfully, I have a three day weekend, and can thus take my time.

Heading to El Torito Grill tonight with my parents for a late birthday dinner. If you have an El Torito Grill near you, I suggest you check it out because good gracious the food is so good. Keep in mind its very expensive, though.

I come bearing gifts!

It has been WAY too long since I have updated this blog. And I shamelessly admit that the only reason I am updating again is because I need a website to give people who want to see my comics.

No, Matt and Karl are not coming back. I have been working on a new comic series since September, and it is called Excitement Abounding! Hey, just like this blog!
You will find that there are 36 pages of this comic already completed, and posted on this website, so you should go read them.

I also just finished illustrating the cover of my good friend Justin Groot's new book, Fragments of Another Life! It is actually the sequel to his first-ever-published novel, A Rapid Shift. Hopefully, once he's sold a few copies of this, people will begin to notice that I exist.
We shall see.So anyway, expect to see comic updates for Excitement Abounding! every tuesday and thursday.

Again, I apologize for the HUGE dead phase there, but I am back.
